Mercado do Bolhão - Porto
This is perhaps one of the most famous local markets in Portugal, the Mercado do Bolhão. It is a beautiful building in the heart of Porto. It consists of 2 floors, as the market is situated between 2 streets with a significant difference in elevation. It is located between Rue de Formosa and Rue Fernandes Tomás. On this market, you will mainly find fresh products.
Open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 07:00 to 13:00.
Praça da Fruta - Caldas da Rainha
This is one of the few daily open-air markets in Portugal. There are primarily stalls with fresh products, such as vegetables and fruits. The name says it all: Fruit Square. It is said that this market has been in existence since the 15th century. Around the market, you’ll find many buildings with local ceramics

Mercado da Ribeira - Lissabon
A visit to this market is a must when you spend a day in Lisbon. It is a covered market near Cais do Sodre. Where fresh vegetables, fruits, and other products were once sold, it has now transformed into a kind of market hall. The concept is that many of the top chefs in Lisbon have a small Tascinha in the market hall where they serve petiscos, smaller versions of the larger dishes from their restaurants. You can order your dish and take a seat at one of the large long tables in the middle.
